1. Design Milk

“Always fresh, never sour” is a design blog that covers what’s new in art, architecture, interior design, furniture and decoration, fashion, and technology.

 

With a number of contributors and topics on this blog, you can find everything from stores to peruse, projects, and designer interviews. With focuses on modern architecture, contemporary homes, art, interiors, and more, Design Milk provides plenty of new ideas and inspiration in all areas.

2. The Marion House Book

Toronto-based Emma Reddington, owner of the Marion Melbourne design studio, started this blog in 2010, and she has since been featured in a number of magazines and onHGTV.

 

Her eye for detail allows for a great combo of beautiful colours and patterns alongside a careful selection of trends and pieces for home décor. Reddington is chock-full of design tips in her position as Chatelaine’sHome Editor. Her previous work includes being an exhibition designer for Toronto’s Art Gallery of Ontario.

3. Decor Happy

Interior decorator Vanessa Francis makes homes look magazine-worthy in her blog, Décor Happy. Featured in Canadian House & Home, Canadian Living, and Style at Home, she offers high-calibre design advice coupled with great recommendations for scoring the best furniture and accessories.

Jennifer Flores began her blog with regular updateson her family home’s renovation.

5. Design Sponge

Design Sponge creator Grace Bonney runs a blog focusing on design, home tours, and DIY projects guides. The blog has even expanded to include city guides.

 

Bonney writes on a diverse group of topics, focusing on the creative community and personalizing both the art and design world. For a different spin on interior designers, she looks at the people behind the homes and trends. 6. KitKa

This modernist design blog is run by duo Juli Daoust and John Baker,two interior designers who own and operate a gallery and interior design shop in Toronto’s Junction district.

HGTV star and Target Home spokesperson Emily Henderson combines eclectic style with moderate budgets. Her vision for design mixes vintage and antique, stating objects should have at least one trait: beauty, functionality, or sentimentality. And when you’ve got all three, it’s gold.
