Our physical world certainly has changed a lot in the last six months, and not to mention quickly. While COVID-19 restrictions have meant that some of the much-anticipated interior design events are being postponed to next year, many are still forging ahead.

Thanks to the rise of the virtual world, this fall still promises to deliver a whole bundle of interior design events that you can get excited about. Sure, things will be different, but you'll still be able to be motivated by keynote speakers, be inspired by beautiful products, listen in on insightful roundtable discussions, and uncover emerging design trends. Just this year, you can participate in it all from the comfort of your own home or office.

So, as they say, the show must go on; and they are! Here are 6 virtual interior design events you don’t want to miss this fall.

1. Interior Design Show – Vancouver

The IDS Vancouver theme this year, “Natural wonder”, plays with the concept of nature as a creative director. Showcasing work from designers, artists, makers and brands, the show this year will be delivered both in an online and offline capacity. There are over 20 virtual seminars which attendees can tap into, with many delving directly into current topics such as designing for a post-pandemic world, and the future of city planning. In addition, participants will be able to connect with high-profile and renowned design professionals from around the world.

Event dates: October 01 – 08, 2020

2. Design Trust Virtual Conference

This year's fall DTL conference has a clear focus for all members: “Smarter ops, better business”. This virtual conference showcases a range of design studio management platforms, both established and emerging, as well as project management and CRM platforms too. Through their move of this event to the virtual world, they’ve been able to double their number of design management presentations, plus they’ve added new project management presentations too.

Event dates: September 15 – October 30, 2020

3. NY NOW Digital Market

Powered by an advanced, state-of-the-art AI platform, attendees are promised an exceptional online design discovery journey at the NY NOW Digital Market. 4. “Virtual” CEU and Vendor Tabletop Week

What we do know at this stage however is the event format; one CEU Monday to Thursday, starting at 10:15 am as well as a 15-minute product talk. Product talks will allow for attendees to engage with different vendors as they're introduced to all the newest kitchen and bathroom products online.
