1. Interior Design Show
The Interior Design Show takes place in Toronto from January 18 to 21. The show brings together the newest and most innovative designs from Canada and the rest of the world. The show has been taking place for 20 years, and it’s one that you shouldn’t miss.
It showcases new products and furniture. It also hosts world-renowned designers and promotes rising stars in the industry. On top of all of the great things you’ll see, there’ll also be inspiring keynote speakers.
Get on over to the show and feel your creativity spike. It’s also a great opportunity to network.
2. Toronto Design Offsite Festival
The Toronto Design Offsite Festival takes place in Toronto from January 15 to 21. It’s a festival that rounds out Toronto’s design week. The festival has over 100 different exhibitors, as well as numerous events over the course of the week.
The festival is in its eighth year, and its mission is to take design and art out of the studio and bring it to the people so that everyone can celebrate contemporary culture. Last year, the festival had over 130,000 visitors.
3. Canadian Furniture Show
The Canadian Furniture Show takes places in Mississauga, Ontario, from May 25 to 27. The show has been around since 1972 and it’s the only furniture show in Canada. It is owned and run by the Quebec Furniture Manufacturer’s Association.
It’s also the seventh largest show in Canada. It brings together industry designers, manufacturers, importers, sellers, and retailers from Canada as well as the rest of the world. It’s a great place for inspiration, to make new connections, and to see the latest trends in the industry.
4. Boutique Design Trade Show
Boutique Design Trade Show (BDNY) takes place in New York City from November 11 to 12 at the Jacob K. Javits Center. The show is the leading trade fair for the hospitality design industry.
Many people from Canada, the eastern part of the United States, and Europe attend the show. It brings together interior designers, purchasing agents, hospitality owners, and manufacturers. Everyone at the show specializes in hospitality, and it’s a great show for you to attend if you’re in the same niche market.
Networking opportunities are plentiful and new trends are always on display.
5. World Design Summit
The World Design Summit takes place in Montreal, Quebec, in October. The dates for 2018 have yet to be finalized. The show runs for 10 days.
The summit talks about how design can shape the future. It also seeks to demonstrate the power that design has to create solutions to global, social, and environmental problems. The summit brings together designs from a multitude of disciplines in order to foster cooperation and to get people thinking outside of the box. It also seeks to aid in professional development.
The summit has various speakers and activities for attendees. It’s a great experience to attend.
